Our Story
Kairali Brisbane is a dynamic, voluntary organization founded with the goal of preserving and promoting the rich culture and traditions of Kerala. With a strong sense of community, we aim to connect individuals both individually and corporately to celebrate and uphold the values of our heritage.
We provide a platform for the Malayalee community to come together and celebrate major cultural events like Onam, Christmas, Diwali, and Vishu. Additionally, we host sporting events, family activities, educational opportunities, and charity initiatives that promote social responsibility and wellness.
We believe in giving back to the community and have supported various charitable projects, including a housing project in Kerala in 2022. Through our sustained efforts, we continue to create meaningful connections with other organizations, fostering stronger relationships and promoting community growth.

Kairali Brisbane’s mission is to preserve and promote Kerala’s rich cultural heritage while fostering a strong sense of community. We aim to connect individuals and families, offering them a platform to celebrate our traditions through social, cultural, and sporting events. By providing opportunities for youth education, mental wellbeing, and charitable initiatives, we strive to empower the community. Our goal is to offer support to new migrants and help them settle while also creating lasting bonds with other organizations that share our values. We are committed to nurturing a vibrant, inclusive environment for all.
Our Vision
Kairali Brisbane envisions becoming the leading community-driven organization that upholds Kerala’s heritage in Australia. We aspire to create a platform where cultural and traditional values are celebrated through various events and activities. By actively engaging the younger generation, we aim to ensure the legacy of Kerala is passed on while helping our members grow socially and economically. We see ourselves as a proactive force in facilitating integration for Malayalee migrants and giving back to the community through charity and collaboration with other organizations. Our vision is a united, proud, and thriving Kerala community in Brisbane.
Our History
- In 2009,Kairali Brisbane was established as an incorporated organisation with more than 1000 members from Malayalee community in Brisbane
- Promote social, cultural and sporting events to encourage our Kairali family to uphold traditional values of Kerala.
- Provide opportunities to reach out both socially and economically to others who are in need in the community.
- A proactive entity in aiding for settling Malayalee migrants to settle in Brisbane (and in Queensland)
- Sustained strong relationships with other organisations including FICQ and FOMAQ.
Today, Kairali Brisbane continues to grow, building relationships with local organizations and strengthening the bonds within our community.
